My name is Abby.  I live in Missouri with my husband and two small children.  My grandma taught me how to crochet at a young age and I didn’t progress much past a chain until I was in my early twenties.  I purchased  Stitch ‘N Bitch Crochet: The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller on a whim one day while I was at Barnes and Noble.  I was hooked (pun not intended!)

I crocheted baby blankets for friends and then for my own daughter, hers I didn’t finish until she was nearly two! (My poor son still doesn’t have a baby blanket and he will be two soon.)  I moved on from crochet to knitting when I got the idea in my head that I wanted to start knitting socks.  I made a scarf because I thought I was supposed to do that first to practice.  Then I dove right in on a pair of two-at-a-time socks.  They are terrible and I’ve only worn them once!  The second pair was a vast improvement, thank goodness.

I love to knit and crochet, I’m trying to learn to sew, I cross stitch from time to time, and I love to listen to knitting podcasts so much that I decided to try my hand at it.  I hope you enjoy the result!
